General FAQs
What is a medical spa?
A medical spa combines traditional spa services with medical-grade treatments under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. At Rejuvenate NEA, our medical directors and providers are advanced practice registered nurses, Sam Hiser and Amber Sloan, and our esthetician is Natalie Davis. We also have a licensed practical nurse, Kathy Weaver. Our master massage therapist is Christy Gerard. Rejuvenate offers relaxation plus results-focused treatments for skin, hair, and overall appearance.
How do I know which treatment is right for me?
We always start with a consultation to discuss your concerns, goals, medical history, and skin type. From there, your provider will recommend a customized treatment plan to provide optimal results.
Is there any downtime after treatments?
Downtime varies by service. Some treatments have little to no downtime (like many facials), while others (like deeper chemical peels or RF microneedling) may require a few days of redness or flaking. We’ll review this with you beforehand.
Are these treatments safe?
When performed by trained professionals and when you’re a good candidate, these treatments are generally very safe. We take a full medical history and review medications, allergies, and contraindications to reduce risk.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
You may be asked to avoid certain skincare products (like retinoids), sun exposure, or hair removal methods for a period of time before your visit. We’ll discuss with you specific pre-care instructions based on your service.
How many sessions will I need?
Some treatments show improvement after one session, but best results often come from a series. The number of sessions depends on your goals, the area treated, and your starting point. The recommended number of sessions will be discussed during your consultation.
Do you offer packages or membership plans?
Rejuvenate offers both packages and memberships but we also can customize a plan to fit your specific needs.
Can I combine treatments on the same day?
Often yes, but it depends on the specific treatments and your skin’s sensitivity. Your provider will tell you which combinations are safe and which should be spaced out.
What if I have a medical condition or take medications?
Always tell us about any medical conditions, allergies, or prescriptions (especially blood thinners, acne medications, or recent antibiotics). We’ll help decide what’s appropriate or if we should coordinate with your healthcare provider.
Is there an age requirement?
Rejuvenate provides treatments for most ages, depending on the service. Some services (like acne facials) may be offered to younger clients with parental consent and provider approval.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
Rejuvenate does offer financing, currently through Care Credit, and payment plans. We also give you the ability to “bank” payments through our Pampered Perks program.
Chemical Peel FAQs
What is a chemical peel?
A chemical peel uses a controlled solution of exfoliating acids to remove the outer layers of dead skin, revealing smoother, brighter skin and helping with texture, discoloration, and fine lines.
What concerns can chemical peels help with?
Peels can improve dullness, uneven tone, sun damage, fine lines, mild acne scarring, and certain types of acne, depending on the peel type and depth.
What does a peel feel like?
Most people feel warmth, tingling, or mild stinging while the solution is on the skin. This usually lasts a few minutes and is monitored closely by your provider.
Will my skin actually “peel”?
Some peels cause visible flaking or peeling for several days, while lighter peels may just cause mild dryness. We’ll explain what to expect and how to care for your skin afterward.
Facial & Medical-Grade Facial FAQs
What’s the difference between a regular facial and a medical-grade facial?
Traditional facials focus on relaxation and basic cleansing. Medical-grade facials use advanced protocols, active ingredients, and devices designed to target specific concerns like acne, pigmentation, texture, or aging under medical oversight.
How often should I get a facial?
Many clients benefit from monthly treatments, but frequency depends on your skin type, goals, and budget. We’ll recommend a schedule that works for you.
Can facials help with acne or sensitive skin?
Yes, we offer facials customized for acne-prone or sensitive skin using gentle, targeted products. A consultation helps us tailor the treatment safely.
Lash Extension FAQs
What are lash extensions?
Lash extensions are individual synthetic or mink lashes applied to your natural lashes to add length, fullness, and definition without mascara.
How long do lash extensions last?
They typically last 2–4 weeks before needing a fill, as your natural lashes shed and grow out.
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
When applied correctly and cared for properly, they should not damage your natural lashes. Avoid rubbing your eyes, using oil-based products, or picking at the extensions.
Does Rejuvenate offer lash extension memberships?
YES! Rejuvenate offers memberships paid monthly for lash extension refills so that you can keep long, thick beautiful lashes year round.
RF Microneedling FAQs
What is RF microneedling?
RF (radiofrequency) microneedling combines tiny, controlled needles with radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen and elastin, improving texture, fine lines, scars, and skin laxity.
What does the treatment feel like?
You’ll be numbed with a topical anesthetic first. Most people feel pressure and mild pricking or warmth, but it’s generally well tolerated.
How long is the downtime?
You may experience redness, mild swelling, and a “sunburn” feeling for 1–3 days. Makeup and certain products may need to be avoided for a short period.
When will I see results?
Some people notice improvement within a few weeks, but collagen remodeling continues for several months. A series of treatments usually gives the best outcome.
Laser Hair Reduction FAQs
How does laser hair reduction work?
Laser energy targets hair follicles to reduce future hair growth. Over multiple treatments, hair becomes finer and less dense.
How many sessions do I need?
Most areas need a series of 6–8 treatments or more, spaced several weeks apart, because hair grows in cycles.
Is laser hair reduction permanent?
It offers long-term hair reduction, but results vary. Some fine or light hairs may remain, and occasional maintenance sessions may be needed.
Does laser hair reduction hurt?
You may feel a quick snap or heat sensation. Rejuvenate has a laser that includes cooling technology to make the treatment more comfortable.
PRP & PRP Filler FAQs
What is PRP?
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is made from a small sample of your own blood that’s processed to concentrate platelets and growth factors, then used to support healing and tissue rejuvenation.
How is PRP used for the face?
PRP can be applied after microneedling or injected in specific areas to support collagen, improve tone and texture, and enhance overall skin quality.
What is PRP filler?
PRP Filler is an advanced, regenerative treatment that uses your body’s own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) combined with platelet-poor plasma (PPP) that has been carefully processed into a smooth, gel-like consistency. This elegant formulation allows us to deliver both powerful collagen-stimulating benefits and subtle volume restoration in a single treatment. Unlike synthetic dermal fillers, PRP Filler integrates seamlessly with your natural tissue, creating soft, refined contours with natural movement. Because it is derived entirely from your own blood, there is no risk of filler migration or an overfilled appearance—only a refreshed, luminous result that looks and feels authentically you.
Is PRP safe?
Because it’s derived from your own blood, the risk of allergy is very low. However, all injections carry some risk, and we’ll review these with you before treatment.
Hair Restoration FAQs
What treatments and products does Rejuvenate offer for hair restoration?
Rejuvenate offers several alternatives that can be used singly or in combination to restore hair growth, hair thickness, hair and scalp health. These include Aquafirme XS treatment with De|Rive, De|Rive Hair Wellness System, PRP, RF MN, RF Microcurrent.
What is Aquafirme XS and De|Rive?
Aquafirme XS is a medical grade device that can be used anywhere on the body to improve dermal (skin) health. When used on the scalp, the hair follicles are gently evacuated of debris allowing for improved hair growth for active hair follicles. It is used in combination with an in-clinic infusion of De|Rive serum. It is recommended that you continue your hair growth journey at home by using the De|Rive Hair Wellness System that includes shampoo, conditioner, and at-home daily serum.
What is the De|Rive Hair Wellness System?
The De|Rive Hair Wellness System is designed to specifically target the scalp and hair follicles by addressing thee impact of stressful environmental factors, remove dead skin cells, and deliver the essential nutrients the scalp needs. The plant-based secretory factors in the products support the production of cytokeratin-15, a key protein integral to hair growth. De|Rive is holistic and a 100% natural, plant-based treatment providing hormone free hair restoration.
How does PRP hair restoration work?
PRP is injected into the scalp to deliver growth factors around hair follicles, which may help support thicker, healthier hair in certain types of hair thinning. It also can be combined with RF MN for a more powerful treatment
How many hair restoration sessions will I need?
Most protocols involve a series of treatments spaced weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions. Your provider will recommend a plan based on your goals and hair condition.
Is PRP hair restoration right for everyone?
It works best in early-to-moderate thinning and may not be appropriate for all types of hair loss. A consultation is needed to evaluate your scalp and medical history.
Microdermabrasion & Dermaplaning FAQs
What is microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion gently exfoliates the outer layer of skin using fine crystals or a diamond-tipped wand to improve texture, dullness, and mild congestion.
What is dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning uses a sterile blade to gently remove dead skin cells and fine “peach fuzz” hair, leaving skin smoother and helping makeup go on more evenly.
Can I combine dermaplaning or microdermabrasion with other treatments?
Yes, these are often paired with facials, light chemical peels, or masks for enhanced results. Your provider will advise what’s safe to combine for your skin.
Radiofrequency Microcurrent FAQs
What is Radiofrequency Microcurrent therapy?
Radiofrequency Microcurrent is a sophisticated, non-invasive treatment that combines gentle electrical microcurrents with controlled radiofrequency energy. Together, they work synergistically to stimulate collagen and elastin production, tone facial muscles, and improve skin firmness—resulting in a smoother, more lifted appearance.
What concerns does this treatment address?
Radiofrequency Microcurrent is ideal for improving skin laxity, fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, dullness, and loss of facial or body contour. On the body, it helps tighten skin, smooth crepey areas, and improve overall tone and definition.
How does it feel during treatment?
Most clients describe the experience as warm, soothing, and deeply relaxing. You may feel a gentle heat from the radiofrequency and subtle muscle contractions from the microcurrent, but the treatment is comfortable and requires no downtime.
What areas can be treated?
treatment is highly versatile and can be used on the face, neck, jawline, décolleté, arms, abdomen, thighs, and other areas where skin tightening and toning are desired.
What makes Radiofrequency Microcurrent different from other skin-tightening treatments?
Unlike treatments that target only the skin’s surface, Radiofrequency Microcurrent works on multiple levels—stimulating collagen deep within the skin while re-educating facial and body muscles. This layered approach delivers natural-looking lift, firmness, and improved contour without injections or surgery.
When will I see results?
Many clients notice an immediate improvement in skin tightness and glow after their first session. Results continue to improve over time as collagen production increases, with optimal outcomes typically seen after a series of treatments.
How many sessions are recommended?
While a single session can provide visible benefits, a customized series—usually 4 to 8 treatments—is recommended for longer-lasting, cumulative results. Your provider will tailor a treatment plan based on your goals and the areas being treated.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime. You may experience mild warmth or temporary redness immediately after treatment, but this typically resolves within a few hours, allowing you to return to your day refreshed and rejuvenated.
Who is a good candidate for this treatment?
Radiofrequency Microcurrent is suitable for most skin types and is ideal for clients seeking natural, non-invasive skin tightening and muscle toning without needles or recovery time. A consultation with one of our medical providers will determine if this treatment aligns with your individual needs and goals.
Can Radiofrequency Microcurrent be combined with other treatments?
Absolutely. This treatment pairs beautifully with facials, microneedling, injectables, and regenerative therapies to enhance and extend results. Your provider can curate a personalized treatment plan for optimal skin health and rejuvenation.
IPL Treatments for Tone, Texture & Discoloration
What is IPL and how does it improve skin tone and texture?
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses targeted light energy to gently heat the deeper layers of the skin, breaking up pigment, reducing redness, and stimulating collagen. Over time, this improves uneven tone, refines texture, and restores a clearer, brighter complexion.
What skin concerns does IPL treat?
IPL is effective for sun damage, brown spots, redness, rosacea, broken capillaries, uneven tone, dull texture, and mild acne discoloration. It’s ideal for clients seeking overall skin clarity rather than one isolated concern.
How many IPL treatments will I need?
Most clients see best results with a series of 3–5 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart. Results are cumulative, with continued improvement in tone and texture over several months. An enhancement treatment is needed every 4-6 months after the initial series and after significant sun exposure to maintain results.
Is IPL painful or does it require downtime?
IPL is well tolerated and often described as a warm snap or flick. There is little to no downtime—some redness or darkening of pigment may occur temporarily, but most clients return to normal activities the same day.
Who is a good candidate for IPL?
IPL works best on lighter skin tones and is ideal for clients with sun-related discoloration or redness. However, Rejuvenate utilizes advanced technology that allows for the treatment of most darker skin tones, as well. A consultation is required to ensure safety and customize settings for your skin.
Medical-Assisted Weight Loss
What is medical-assisted weight loss?
Medical-assisted weight loss is a medical professional-guided program that addresses metabolism, hormones, appetite regulation, and insulin sensitivity. It goes beyond diet plans by treating the biological factors that influence weight. Our experienced nurse practitioners will meet with you for a consultation to assess your goals and overall health and then, together, we develop a plan tailored to you.
What treatments or medications are used?
Programs may include FDA-approved medications, nutritional guidance, metabolic support, and lifestyle coaching. All treatments are personalized and medically supervised for safety and long-term success.
Will I regain weight after stopping treatment?
Our goal is sustainable weight loss. By addressing metabolism, habits, and hormone balance, we help clients maintain results long-term rather than relying on short-term fixes.
How soon will I see results?
Many clients begin noticing changes in appetite, energy, and weight within the first few weeks, with continued improvement over time.
Comprehensive Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
What makes your BHRT approach different?
Our BHRT is truly holistic. Instead of focusing only on estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone, we evaluate and balance all hormones, including thyroid, adrenal (cortisol), insulin, DHEA, and more—because the body functions as an interconnected system.
What symptoms can BHRT help improve?
BHRT may help with fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, mood changes, low libido, sleep issues, hot flashes, anxiety, hair thinning, and reduced overall vitality.
How is hormone imbalance diagnosed?
We use comprehensive lab testing combined with an in-depth consultation to understand how your hormones are functioning—not just whether they fall into “normal” ranges.
Are bioidentical hormones safe?
Bioidentical hormones are structurally identical to those your body naturally produces. When properly dosed and medically monitored, they are considered a safe and effective option for most patients.
How long does it take to feel results?
Some clients notice improvements within weeks, while full optimization may take a few months as the body rebalances. Adjustments are made carefully and intentionally over time.
Is BHRT only for women?
No. BHRT is beneficial for both women and men experiencing hormonal changes due to aging, stress, or metabolic shifts.
Therapeutic & Medical Massage Therapy
What makes your massage experience different?
Each massage is completely customized at every visit. Rejuveante’s Master Massage Therapist will take time to check in with you before each session to understand how your body feels that day—addressing stress levels, muscle tension, injuries, recovery needs, or overall wellness goals. No two massages are ever the same.
What massage modalities do you offer?
We offer a full range of massage therapies, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, hot stone massage, lymphatic drainage, and medical massage. Modalities may be blended within a single session to best support your needs and create the most effective and restorative experience for you that day.
Is massage beneficial even if I don’t have pain?
Absolutely. Massage is not only corrective but preventative. Regular massage supports circulation, posture, nervous system regulation, sleep quality, and overall physical and mental wellness.
How often should I receive massage therapy?
Frequency depends on your goals. Some clients benefit from weekly or bi-weekly sessions for pain management or stress, while others choose monthly maintenance as part of their self-care routine. Christy, Rejuvenate’s master massage therapist, will discuss recommendations for frequency.
